Si votre téléphone affiche « Application non installée », c'est qu'il est en 32 bits — un modèle d'avant 2017 environ. Dans ce cas, ouvrez Fakane dans le navigateur : tout y fonctionne pareil.
Windows affichera « Windows a protégé votre ordinateur ». C'est normal : le fichier n'est pas signé par un certificat payant. Cliquez sur Informations complémentaires, puis Exécuter quand même.
Comptez trois minutes. Android va vous poser une question à laquelle on ne s'attend pas la première fois — c'est normal, et c'est expliqué à l'étape 3.
Le téléchargement démarre. Une barre apparaît en haut de l'écran. Comptez une à trois minutes selon votre réseau.
Touchez la notification « Téléchargement terminé », ou cherchez fakane.apk dans votre dossier Téléchargements.
Un message dit que votre téléphone n'autorise pas l'installation d'applications venant de cette source. Touchez Paramètres, puis activez Autoriser depuis cette source, puis revenez en arrière.
Quelques secondes. L'icône orange apparaît sur votre écran d'accueil.
Votre nom, votre numéro, le métier de votre boutique. Vous encaissez votre première vente juste après.
Pourquoi cet avertissement, et pourquoi il n'y a rien à craindre ici. Android affiche ce message pour toute application qui ne vient pas du Play Store — sans regarder ce qu'elle contient. Il ne dit pas « cette application est dangereuse », il dit « je ne l'ai pas vérifiée moi-même ».
Ici, le fichier est téléchargé depuis fakane.io, en connexion chiffrée, et il est signé avec notre clé. Nous déposerons Fakane sur le Play Store — cette page restera de toute façon, parce qu'elle est plus rapide et qu'elle marche sur les téléphones où le Play Store fait défaut.
Fakane fonctionne des deux côtés, avec le même compte et les mêmes données. Ce que vous encaissez sur le téléphone apparaît sur l'ordinateur, et l'inverse.
Pour vendre debout, dans la boutique ou au marché. C'est le seul des deux qui continue de fonctionner sans réseau : les ventes sont gardées sur l'appareil et remontent toutes seules ensuite.
Rien à installer : ouvrez fakane.io/app dans Chrome. Pratique au comptoir, avec un grand écran, un clavier et l'imprimante à tickets.

If your phone says “App not installed”, it is a 32-bit device — roughly a model from before 2017. In that case, open Fakane in the browser: everything works the same there.
Windows will show “Windows protected your PC”. That is expected: the file is not signed with a paid certificate. Click More info, then Run anyway.
Three minutes. Android will ask you something unexpected the first time — that's normal, and step 3 explains it.
The download starts. A bar appears at the top of the screen. One to three minutes depending on your network.
Tap the "Download complete" notification, or find fakane.apk in your Downloads folder.
A message says your phone doesn't allow installing apps from this source. Tap Settings, turn on Allow from this source, then go back.
A few seconds. The orange icon appears on your home screen.
Your name, your number, your trade. You can take your first payment right after.
Why that warning, and why there's nothing to fear here. Android shows this message for any app that doesn't come from the Play Store — without looking at what's inside. It isn't saying "this app is dangerous", it's saying "I haven't checked it myself".
Here the file is downloaded from fakane.io over an encrypted connection, and it's signed with our key. We will publish Fakane on the Play Store — this page will stay anyway, because it's faster and it works on phones where the Play Store falls short.
Fakane works on both, with the same account and the same data. What you ring up on the phone shows on the computer, and the other way round.
For selling on your feet, in the shop or at the market. It's the only one of the two that keeps working with no network: sales are kept on the device and sync by themselves later.
Nothing to install: open fakane.io/app in Chrome. Handy at the counter, with a big screen, a keyboard and the receipt printer.
